During a 30-day display, will a distance of 3cm between 2 tar cones be closed like a Stalactites in a karst cave?
A dynamic and slow tar installation whose appearance and presence change during the exhibition as a live drawing. The attempt to control the material is doomed to failure. The natural tendency of tar to spread gives the work an independent lifespan out of the desire for stability and balance. The abstract and three-dimensional drawing stretched and crawled was destroyed and rebuilt. Working with unpredictable materials like tar, diverting them and disrupting them from the original use, turns a contemporary visual look at concepts and issues like time, weight, physicality, movement and variability.
